These terms and conditions will apply to you whenever you make a payment to Izwe Loans Zambia Plc (“us”) via the E-Commerce platform.
If you do not accept these terms and conditions you are advised not to make use of the E-Commerce platform.
These terms and conditions must be read together with your loan agreement, as well as any other terms and conditions that apply to your relationship with us.
If there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and your loan agreement, the provisions of your loan agreement will take precedence. However, if the conflict relates to the use of the E-Commerce platform these terms and conditions apply.
E-Commerce is a service offered by us to enable you to make online payments to us conveniently and securely via the E-Commerce platform.
This service will only be made available to you upon your verbal and/or written request to us. Once we have confirmed your request to make payment/s to us via the E-Commerce platform you will be contacted telephonically by one of our agents who will verify your identity and provide you with a unique PIN for purposes of the E-Commerce payment. We will thereafter send you an SMS containing a URL to be used for the E-Commerce payment.
For your protection as well as ours, conversations between you and us may be recorded. These recordings may be used as proof of your request to us to make use of the E-Commerce payment service, unless you can prove otherwise. By using the E-Commerce platform you consent to such recording.
For your further protection you will need to enter the correct access information or take any other steps acceptable to us for us to verify your identity when communicating with us or our agents and each time you log onto the E-Commerce platform.
Note: We will NEVER send you email, SMS or instant message communication concerning online payments, or containing a PIN or URL for online payment, unless we receive specific written and/or verbal request from you to use the E-Commerce payment service. We will never ask you to give us your sensitive secret information by email, SMS, instant message or even over the telephone including your bank card PUN number, PIN number, CVV number or other passwords that facilitate transactions on your bank accounts, with the exception of your bank card expiry date which may be requested for purposes of the E-Commerce payment.
Please do not respond to any unsolicited communication concerning online payments to us, this may be fraudulent communication. We will not be held liable for any loss, damage or claim (direct, indirect and consequential) as a result of your response to any such fraudulent or third-party correspondence.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any communication you receive concerning online payments to us is genuine communication from us.

The payment gateway used for our E-Commerce payment platform is a secure Cybersource platform which MUST ONLY be accessed through the URL sent by us to your registered mobile number. We accept no responsibility whatsoever for transactions that may occur via access to the Cybersource site through any other means than prescribed herein. If you are redirected to any other payment gateway abort the transaction and contact our call centre immediately.
You must ensure to respect all best practice steps advised by your bankers on usage of your bank cards for online payments in a secure way. We will not be held liable for any loss, damage or claim (direct, indirect and consequential) as a result of any fraud that may occur on your account or as a result of your careless use of your bank card.
Your obligation to make your loan repayments is not dependent upon the receipt of a PIN and/or URL from us. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your monthly loan repayments are received by us by the due dates as per your loan agreement and you are encouraged to use alternative methods of payment in the event you are unable to use E-Commerce payment platform for whatever reason to avoid incurring penalties.
You will have the option to select a once-off or reoccurring payment date when making payment instructions via the E-Commerce platform. In the event that your selected payment date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or recognised Zambian public holiday, the payment date will automatically be the business day before the selected payment date. In the event that there are insufficient funds in your bank account on the selected payment date the payment will be actioned on the closest future date where funds are present in your bank account to meet payment of the transaction in full.
Payments via the E-Commerce platform may take up to 72 (seventy two) hours to clear if successful.
We will deem payments via the E-Commerce platform to be made by you on the date that we receive such payment.
Payments will be allocated to offset or settle any legal and registration/collection/recovery costs first and thereafter be applied to reducing or settling any unpaid interest and thereafter the principal interest, unpaid fees and charges (including insurance) and lastly to reduce or settle the principal loan.
Please note that once a payment transaction has been completed by you on the E-Commerce platform it is final and it will not be possible for it to be cancelled or reversed.
In no event will we be liable for any loss or damages as a result of delays, non-delivery, non-payment or under payment via the E-Commerce payment platform, whether due to fault, error or omission on our part or on the part of our service providers. We will not be liable for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages.
We may, from time to time, update or amend these terms and conditions without any prior notice to you. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions every time you access the E-Commerce platform. Amended terms and conditions will supersede and replace any previous versions of the terms and conditions.
If any of the provisions of these terms and conditions are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, such provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms and conditions, which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
